Creating the Exquisite Sea Creature West Point Grey Community Centre
JUNE 14, 2014 9:30am – 11:30am West Point Grey Community Centre | 4397 West 2 Avenue FREE | No registration required
This come-and-go workshop will explore the imaginary sea life of the Pacific Ocean. Working in partners and groups, we will bring to life imaginative sea creatures that may live off the coast of Vancouver. Together with your partner, you will create a mysterious sea creature. Your partner’s drawing will be covered up, so you won’t know what your partner has done. At the end of the activity you will be pleasantly surprised by the sea world you have created. This workshop focuses on the fun, funny and imaginative side of drawing.
Participants of all ages and experience are welcome.
Workshop leader Emmarin Munroe is a professional artist, art teacher and the creator of VanArtConnection. She graduated in the summer of 2011 from Emily Carr University with a BFA in visual arts. As well as creating art and running VanArtconnection, Emmarin teaches yoga and children’s art classes.

Rear, GM of American Life Insurance and in 1918 was bought by Colonel Victor Spencer who named it Aberthau, Gaelic for "a place filled with light." It was used as an officers' mess during WWII and obtained by the Park Board in 1974.
