Work with dancers and drawers to create a footprint map of a dance of your own invention in the plaza. Dance your own Dance Trace and then leave it in public space for passers-by to try!
Participants of all ages and experience are welcome.
Julie Lebel (concept) is a Vancouver-based choreographer invested in community engaged dance and in interactions between public space and community. Her approach to art making is collaborative and multidisciplinary, involving musicians, visual artists, film makers and writers.
Corinne Chepil (facilitator) has over 30 years experience teaching dance and movement to people aged three to 100 with a focus on Creative Dance and Circle Dance.
Caroline Liffmann (facilitator) is a Vancouver-based contemporary performance maker, choreographer and arts educator who collaborates on short works for the stage, the screen, and all manner of public places.
Dance Traces will take place along the south side Seawall between Science World and Olympic Village.
