ARCHIVE 2012 - Drawing Workshop at Kensington
with Jasna Guy

Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 10:00am - 12:00pm
Kensington Community Centre, 5175 Dumfries Street, Vancouver BC
FREE

Join artist Jasna Guy and try out one or all of the four different drawing projects on the menu! You can make a crazy bugs carbon paper monoprint inspired by your favourite bug using a simple carbon-paper based transfer technique that is then embellished with pencil crayons. You can also create a post-it-note finger-print map that looks at the unique contours of your very own fingerprint! Or why not write out encouraging good fortune wishes on colourful joss paper with black Chinese ink, or use your use your birthdate, initials and handprints to start a text & time "coded" collaborative drawing?

Nestled into beautiful Kensington Park and located at Knight Street and East 37th Avenue, Kensington Community Centre was opened in 1980 and offers a wide variety of recreational activities for all ages. Outside, Kensington Park is the site of sand-based playing fields and a playground. Best of all is the view of the North Shore mountains from this highly positioned greenspace.
