Lexie Owen is an interdisciplinary artist interested in the inter-relationships that form between concepts of labour, value, and material. Her work manifests sometimes as sculpture, sometimes as actions, and sometimes as something in-between the two. Owen is a graduate of Emily Carr University (BFA 2014), and is currently the artist in residence at Burrard View Park Fieldhouse.
The West End Community Centre is a 50,000-plus square foot facility that houses seven rooms for rent, a pre-school, an Out-of-School Children's Care Centre, a full gym, auditorium, library, a pottery studio and the West End's only Skating Rink/Arena.
