Britannia Community Centre, 1661 Napier Street, Vancouver BC FREE On the afternoon of June 9, Britannia Community Centre hosts a total of four unique and inspiring workshops to get you drawing!
Exquisite Corpse: Draw and Foldover Workshop with Sylvia Oates 2:00pm – 4:30pm, Outdoors at Britannia Building on an old parlour game, the Surrealists exploited the mystique of accident by constructing collective collages of images, which they called "Exquisite Corpse". The first person draws the head, folds the paper to conceal their image, than passes it on to the next player for a drawing of the torso, and so on, until the full image is revealed. At the Foldover tent at Britannia’s Draw Down, you too can be a Surrealist. Add to someone's start or start one yourself - be ready for a surprise when your collaborative creation unfolds. This fold-over game will delight young and old alike. If you like to doodle, you will love it.
