Come and draw your own score and hear it played by international pianist Lisa Ullén. Lisa collaborates with artist Kathleen Taylor to guide this hands-on event to create instant graphic scores from drawings and doodles.
Participants of all ages and experience are welcome.
This workshop is co-presented with the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre and Coastal Jazz & Blues with support from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.

Stockholm-based pianist and composer Lisa Ullén visits Western Front as Musician-in-Residence for the month of June. Lisa works in the realms of jazz, experimental, and contemporary music as a pianist, improviser, composer, and arranger.
Established in 1973 the Western Front is one of Canada’s leading artist-run-centers for contemporary art and new music. They produce and present visual art, exhibitions, new music concerts and workshops, media-art residencies, performance art and other artist driven initiatives.
The Western Front currently maintains programs in exhibitions, media art and new music, as well as an extensive archive of audio-visual materials. Through this diverse programming we continue to be a crucial platform for interdisciplinary, experimental art practices in Canada and internationally.
